Repair and Upgrade of Heavy and Unique Kind Machinery 

A prospective trend in the Kirov-Stankoplant operation is to repair and upgrade the heavy and unique metal-processing equipment. Overhaul and upgrade provide our clients with a refurbished equipment meeting new highest manufacture standards, equipped with contemporary art control systems and meeting with the precision standards.

A major advantage for clients includes considerable savings as a result of this work. This is explained by lower repair costs as compared to purchase price for new machines: overhaul and upgrade payments are covered by prime costs of operation unlike the purchase of new equipment which is covered by profits.

The repair and upgrade time heavy and unique equipment is half as shorter as that for manufacture of its production analogies.

Kirov-Stankoplant engineering department is capable of developing assemblies with new original mechanical parts as well as an absolutely new machine hydraulics and lubrication system. At the same time a new machine control system is developed under our projects using contemporary systems.

Recently a growing number of industrial enterprises have demonstrated their demand for overhaul and upgrade services for large horizontal boring mills manufactured by Skoda. As a part of this line we offer new repair and upgrade solutions which promote reliability and capabilities of equipment. In 2006, the works on reconstruction of a repair site for large horizontal boring mills repair.

Main upgrade works for Skoda horizontal boring mills include:

• Restoration of machines original passport precision;
• Installation of a new spindle group using an automatic instrument clamping and pressing out system with an ISO cone;
• Integration of new ball-screw unit and replacement of the existing one;
• Reconstruction of holder guiding cross-slides and furnishing with a hydrostatics system;
• Installation of a new reducer with backlash adjustment of a holder cross-slides actuator across the base;
• Installation of a control system Siemens Sinumerik 840D by or a controller Heidenhein S7-300 with the coordinate preprogramming.
